Happy 2016

I can't believe the holidays are over. It seemed to go by so fast. Well I just started sewing again after a long break. I feel so much better than before. I have few goals for the new year.
1. To take better care of myself. Exercise and eat right.
2. Sew or quilt almost every day. I'd like to say everyday but I'm trying to be realistic.
3. Well then there's try to keep up with the house and laundry.

I'm working on The Hunter Star. I used the Acquilt die, it made it so fast and easy to cut out. I'll post pictures soon.

I hope I'm back.

I have been lost for a while. I'm trying to get my feet moving again. My sweet family helped me move my sewing room downstairs. It's a great space. I was hoping a change would help reboot my love of quilting. This was last October and I'm still unpacking boxes. It's not that I have that much stuff, it's I feel lost down there. A few weeks ago Jessica (my daughter) and I made a christening gown for her boss' daughter. I really enjoyed it. My sewing machine died soon after that, so I was able to buy a new one. I got a great deal on a HV Designer Ruby Deluxe. We set it up a few days ago and today I'm finally going to get down there a sew something. I have a few projects started and I have a quilt in the frame. That poor quilt has been in for over a year. But that's all about to change.

Where has this year gone.

Can't believe it's September. I need to get my head together and start my Christmas sewing.
I have to make lists and organize my thoughts and plans. I will need a few days before I'm ready to attack. It will all start in the sewing room. So if you don't here from me in a few days I'll be in there somewhere.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. I can't believe it's the new year already. Happy New Year!!!
I made a couple quilts for Christmas but I don't have the pictures yet. I'll post them sometime soon. I really want to get a lot of thing done this year. I have some UFOs to do. Maybe 4 or 5. So that's a big goal for this year. The one that's on most peoples list is to lost some weight, I'd be happy with about 50 to 75 lbs gone. I'm so happy I don't have to add quitting smoking. I did that 1 1/2 yrs ago. That's one I'm very proud about. Hope to put the weight lose in that column. My plan is to keep up with this blog a few times a week, post pictures of quilts I've done, and hopefully some customers quilts too.

This hasn't been a good quilting year for me. I was sick in Feb. Then I spent the whole month of August with my Mom after her heart surgery, She's doing great. Then I got sick early Sept, thru to
middle of October. I have been trying to get back into quilting. A lot of reading and planning. I
did get one done, still need to bind it.
